Real-Time vs. Offline Rendering

This scene redraws up to 60 times a second using your GPU's rasterizer — the same approach game engines use. Offline renderers (used for the Render Calculator's estimates elsewhere on this site) trace individual light rays for physical accuracy, trading real-time speed for realism.

Focal Length Sets the FOV

Switching the lens preset here recalculates field of view using the exact same formula as the Camera & Optics calculator — a 35mm sensor width divided into twice the focal length, run through arctangent. Real optics, not an arbitrary slider mapping.

Three-Point Lighting

Key, fill, and ambient lights here mirror classic three-point lighting from photography and film — a strong key light defines form and shadow direction, a softer fill light reduces harsh shadows, and ambient light provides an overall base level so nothing goes pure black.

What's Still Coming

To open your own model, use the Inspector, Optimizer or Hierarchy tools. AI-generated 3D models are still under active development.
